Chessington Adventure Park

The kids at the American school are out this Wednesday-Friday for parent-teacher conferences so we took the kids to Chessington Adventure Theme Park. It is very close to the house and I've been wanting to go since we moved here. We went with Shannon and her kids (its way more fun to go with friends)! We had a great time even though the weather was a little cold and wet. However, we dodged most of the rain all day until right at the end when we were about to leave. At that point, I was thinking..warm bath, hot chocolate, and a fire! We felt a little like celebrities who rent out the whole venues to themselves. The local British schools were still in session so we practically had the place to ourselves! We never had to wait in line to ride the rides. The kids could even stay on and go around for a 2nd and 3rd time! The kids had a great time even little Zachary. He was so excited to see all the sights. I think his favorite was watching the skyway train go round and round (he's into Thomas the Train right now). Every time he saw it, he would get loud and animated! It makes me so happy that we have him here with us and I wonder what goes on in his little mind.  Avery liked the Runaway train and Vampire ride the best. She says she is still dizzy!
It was a good day and I'm sure we will be going again in the near future.
