My heart is filled with overwhelming joy!!!! Listen to what some of my friends did last night...What I thought was going to be just a get together.. hang out... last GNO before I leave town ended up being a BABY SHOWER!!! I was sooo surprised. I had no clue. Not even the fact that my sister was coming in from Beaumont!! I just thought she wanted to hang out with us (me) for the evening!! Everyone was very good at keeping the secret!! No slip ups! I was impressed. Anyways, I went to the back of the restaurant to find it all decorated up with "blue stuff" and a cute cake from my favorite bakery, Elite Treats (Yummy!) There was also a family picture with our little man photo shopped into the picture. (Thanks Sheri) I love it!
We ate, visited, and I opened some gifts. This little guy is going to be outfitted with so many cute clothes.
He is set to go. The dilemma is going to be which outfits to bring to China!! I had forgotten about sippy cups, diapers, etc. (I've been out of that stage for a while.) He will even have his first scrapbook thanks to my creative friend, Mechiel. So glad I got to see her since I missed the scrapbook retreat this year! It was a fun evening with friends who I will never forget. I am so blessed. Thanks girls again for everything!
On a side note, Bruce picked up the keys to the house today. It has been snowing there for quite sometime. He took a picture of the snow covered house. It looks beautiful! Note to self..don't forget to pack all the snow gear! Bruce said last weekend he saw kids bundled up, building snowmen, and sledding down the hills.
Sounds like lots of fun. When Bruce walked through the house today, he reminded me again of how small it is! LOVES IT but small! He order a bed to be delivered. That may be the only piece of furniture we have in the house when I get there. We'll have to go do a little shopping after we arrive to get a few things that will last us until the ship gets there with our things (7-8 weeks).
Bruce will be in Norway next week. I told him to be taking some pictures on these trips but he doesn't have a camera just the phone camera:( He said Turkey was actually very nice and would be a place we may would want to go back and visit. He was right on the edge of Asia and Europe. From his hotel he could see Asia across the water! Avery and I have been using Google Earth a lot lately! It makes me think of Genesis 1:1..In the beginning God created the Heavens and the Earth. Amazing!
Well, I tried to upload a picture of the snow covered house but having troubles. (I think it has something to do with the UK camera phone.) I will figure it out. So, check back!
Cheerio!
