Then there were FOUR

Introducing Zachary Li Pool

We left Beijing this morning (Sunday) for a 3 hour plane ride to Guizhou province. We were so nervous and excited anticipating meeting our son for the first time.  Once we landed, we had just enough time to check-in at the hotel and then it was straight to the adoption center where Zachary was already there waiting for us to arrive.

 

He had to travel 4 hours to meet us. It was harder than I thought it was going to be. The first hour was rough but Bruce was able to calm him. They always said the child would initally attach to one parent first. And Bruce is the one! He only wants Bruce right now with Avery a close 2nd! But, I'm not going to get my feelings hurt!! He is sooo cute and smart!!

 

Once back at the hotel, Zachary was doing really well. We fed him and he ate very good. Also, we (Bruce) gave him a bath. He cried when we took him out of the tub! At least he wasn't scared of the water. He loves Avery..they played lots of peek-a-boo! She was able to make him laugh. Let's hope now he will have a good night sleep! Enjoy the pics
