The Garth
We have arrived at The Garth (the name of our house)! The airplane ride was rather lovely! In fact, it seemed to go by faster than previous flights. I guess because we were able to sleep more on this trip. (we rode first class...the seats lay flat). So, that was very nice. Avery did say she wouldn't be able to ride in the back of the plane now that she has rode in first class! Once we arrived at the house and up the steep steps with 5 heavy bags plus a few more, we discovered we were unable able to open the front door. (Bruce was given the wrong key) So, after walking and lugging the above mentioned bags around the side of the house to the side door, we were able to get inside. Steve, from the management company, came 2 hours later with the correct keys. We immediately began putting the bed together so we would have somewhere to sleep. This was the only piece of furniture in the house. It only took 3 hours to complete which I thought was pretty good. Sometimes, these type of projects can be in all day ordeal. Afterwards, we left to do a little shopping in nearby Kingston to pick up some groceries, linens, etc. Although, we forgot the utensils. So, it was dry cereal with a glass of milk for breakfast. This morning was not off to a good start. I woke with a bad headache. I guess its jet lag. But, feeling better now. Bruce put the couch all together and is currently working on the TV stand. He says next time he will have someone put it together. He had it almost put completely together and realized 2 boards were facing the wrong way. He was not a happy camper lets just say! Just waiting for the cable guy to come now then off to do a little more shopping for some necessities. Plus, still need a phone and a car! Everyone have a blessed day and stay tuned!
