Pippa

Our first friend in England (at least for Avery and I) is Pippa. That's what we named the Satnav lady in the car. We hang on to Pippa's every word! We hear alot of "turn around when possible", that means you are going the wrong way! We talk to her also but, she doesn't listen very well. Today, we went to the ACS school in Cobham to meet Avery's teacher and visit her classroom. Her name is Ms.Jessica Bowen. She seems really nice and was just as excited to meet Avery. We went on a tour again around the lower school to refresh our minds from our original visit. We actually caught up with Avery's class in French. They all greeted her with "Bonjour!" They seemed very friendly and the teacher said they would all be very eager to be her buddie on her first day of school. She learned one of the girls in her class is from Houston. The structure of the school day is very similar to Atascocita Springs Elementary. She will be in the main classroom with Ms. Bowen and then she has Specials which includes: PE, art, music, dance & movement, computers, science lab, and French class. Please pray for Avery as she starts school on Monday. I think she may be a little nervous. She will go to school for 2-1/2 weeks then will be out on Springbreak for 2 weeks! Wonder what we will do!
Next, we went to Wimbledon to get a TV and also a blow dryer and flat iron (more important than the TV!) The TV should be delivered tomorrow!  Although, we haven't missed it very much and Avery has been doing a good job at entertaining us. She's been perfecting her British accent! She's pretty good! Also, she's been going around the house playing "Good Luck Zachary" with the video on the IPAD! This is the name we have decided on for our new son!
Things are moving along as for as the adoption goes...We recently received our RA (letter of acceptance from China). We actually received the call on the way to the airport. It was deja vu because when we received the call for the match, we also were on the way to the airport!  Funny how that works!  But now, things slow down again because we have extra steps/paperwork to do since our change in residence. We can not travel until all paperwork is updated. We know God is in control and working out all the details. We just have to be patieint and wait on Him! His timing is perfect! Thanks everyone for your continued prayers.
Bruce has become an expert in putting furniture together. (that's how the furniture comes..in small pieces.) Bruce says if his job at Aggreko doesn't work out, he can always fall back on a job as a furinture installer!                                                                                                                                Tomorrow, we are off to get a car and a phone. I need some practice over the weekend before I'm on my own next week. I at least need to get the route down to the school and back! I'm skeered! Wish me luck!
I promise I will post some pics soon once things are more in order around here!  Check back later!
